FAQ's

How can I send you electronic files securely?
If you'd prefer not to email files or they are too large to do so, you can upload your files securely to https://www.yousendit.com/dropbox?dropbox=PCM. Please address them to admin@pcmaccountants.com.au and be sure to note in the message contents which entity and to what period the work relates.

How long will my work take?
Although industry standards are about 6 weeks, we usually turn your work around in 4 … that’s if you provide us with all relevant information of course!  We have developed some checklists to assist you in ensuring you include all relevant information to us.  The more organized your work, the more efficiently and cheaply we can complete it.

How am I to be invoiced?
As work is undertaken for our clients, invoices are prepared on a monthly basis, with payment to be made within 14 days. We offer a range of payment options for your convenience, including cheque, credit card, direct debit and eftpos.  If you wish to discuss this matter further, please contact Lyn Walkley.

When does my tax return have to be lodged?
As we are a registered Tax Agent, clients on our Tax Agent List with the Australian Taxation Office have an extended period of time to lodge their income tax return. Most income tax returns are due to be lodged in the May following the end of the relevant financial year. The lodgment due date will be brought forward if a client does not meet lodgment obligations in previous financial year/s. A letter is forwarded to clients notifying the due date for lodgment and payment of any tax liability.
 
How do I roll over my MYOB file to a new year, backup the files and send to our Accountants and attach my file to an email?
To rollover to a new year:-
File.
Start a new year.
Start a new financial year.
Continue.
Continue.
To backup a file:-
File
Backup
Backup Company and M-Powered Service Centre file only
Do not check company file for errors
Save in: e.g. m:/ myob000.zip
To attach file to email:-
Attach zip file as per the name saved above to email by clicking on the paperclip.

How do I backup Cash Flow Manager?
Follow these instructions.
 
I haven’t received my tax return yet!
Ask Lyn Walkey either by phone or email for a follow up. Please remember that refunds normally take between 2-3 weeks before coming back to our office so please allow for that time to pass before enquiring.

Can you give me my tax file number?
